Ever​ything's Harvest Cupcakery.....previously known as "Miranda's Coffee Call"..got it's start in 2007.  A ​one woman bakery in its' grassroots phase was a huge challenge.  At the time, cupcakes were beginning to be hot on the market...and I thought, well... I need a hobby anyway.  So, I gave it a shot.  My very first cupcake was the Pumpkin Spice Cupcake. This made sense as it was seasonal and the fall was my absolute favorite time of the year and still is... (hence the company name... "Everything's Harvest").  I worked in an office building as a recruiter with other companies in the same location.  This was a prime opportunity to try out my bakes with others...so I decided to bake a couple of dozen and take them to the different businesses within the building.  I didn't charge them, I just wanted their feedback.  Some of the feedback was good and some not so good.  Needless to say, improvements were soon to come.  Initially, I could not figure out for the life of me, how to get my cupcakes to be the same size. Some were HUGE...some were medium sized...and well...the others just didn't make the cut at all...LOL. I did some research to find out that an icecream scoop was the most efficient way to accomplish this and it worked!  This was just the beginning of many things that I learned from watching others, reading and watching videos... especially YOUTUBE.  I became a "self-taught" baker.  

Fast forward nearly 14 years later...it's 2021...and my little online bakery is still here!  I am very grateful to my Creator for that for sure!  In 2019, I left my full-time corporate job to give my little online bakery more of a chance...and I was happy to see it flourish more than it had in the previous decade.  I've been super busy...and I'm making new and incredible sweets each week!  I came from a family that loved to bake pies and cakes when I was a young girl.  My job was to lick the batter off of the spoon when my mom or my aunt were done using it.  I also recently found out that my grandmother LOVED to bake cakes...from scratch too!  So perhaps this trait and developing talent was hidden somewhere in the gene pool! 

So.. enough of my babbling... This is just a short glimpse into how I got my start... I hope it inspires someone.  Always do something you enjoy doing...and reap the benefits of making someone else's day from doing what you love!
